Who is the MSZ-LN35VG for?
It is Mitsubishi Electric’s most complete wall-mounted split for a room of 15 to 25 m²: usually, a living-dining room. It makes sense if you want three things at once: that you can hardly hear it, that it uses as little energy as possible and that it looks good on the wall.
- 19 dB(A) at its lowest speed: designed for sleeping with it on.
- A+++ for cooling and heating (SEER 9.5 · SCOP 5.1), the top class on the energy label.
- 3D i-see sensor: it measures the temperature of the room by zones, including people and windows, and sends the air where it is needed.
- Plasma Quad Plus filter, which traps pollen, dust, bacteria, viruses and fine particles: useful if there are allergies or small children at home.
- Built-in wifi with the MELCloud app, also with Alexa, and four finishes: white, pearl white, onyx black and ruby red.

The pearl white, onyx black and ruby red finishes cost a little more than the white one. If the room gets a lot of sun, is a penthouse or is open to the kitchen, the next size up is usually better: we check this from the photos or, if needed, on a visit.

If budget comes first, the MSZ-AY35VGK does the same job for much less and is just as quiet. The MSZ-EF35VGK is the design option in between. The LN35 is worth it if you will also use it for heating (its SCOP of 5.1 is the highest of the three), if you want the 3D i-see sensor and the Plasma Quad Plus filter or if colour matters.

How to read its technical data
- SEER 9.5
- Average cooling performance over the whole season: 9.5 kWh of cooling for every kWh of electricity. Label consumption: 128 kWh a year for cooling.
- SCOP 5.1
- The same for heating, in an average European climate. In a warm climate, such as the coast, it rises to 6.7. Label consumption: 974 kWh/year in the average zone and 412 kWh/year in the warm zone.
- 19 dB(A)
- Indoor unit noise at its lowest speed; at top speed it reaches 43 dB(A). The outdoor unit is 49 dB(A).
- Operating range
- Heats with outdoor temperatures down to -15 °C and cools with up to 46 °C.
- Piping
- It allows up to 20 m of piping between units (12 m height difference). The price includes 3 m.

What can change the price
The price is fixed for a standard installation. These cases are quoted separately, in writing and before we start:
- More than 3 m of piping between the indoor and outdoor units.
- Special brackets, a roof base or work at height.
- Condensate pump if there is no drain nearby.
- Chasing, building work or longer decorative trunking.
- New electrical line from the consumer unit.

Frequently asked questions about the MSZ-LN35VGW
Is the MSZ-LN35VG enough for a 35 m² living room? No. With 3.5 kW it covers rooms of roughly 15 to 25 m² with normal ceiling height and insulation. For a 35 m² living room the 5 kW MSZ-LN50VG is the right size; if the room gets a lot of sun, is in a penthouse or opens onto the kitchen, we confirm it from the photos or, if needed, on a visit.
How much does the MSZ-LN35VG cost installed? 2.260€ in white and 2.410€ in pearl white, onyx black or ruby red, including VAT and standard installation (up to 3 m of piping between units).
What is the difference between the LN35 and the EF35? The LN35 is more efficient (SEER 9.5 and SCOP 5.1 versus 8.8 and 4.6), goes down to 19 dB(A) versus 21 and adds the 3D i-see sensor. The EF35 costs 1.850€ installed, much less.
Can it be controlled from a phone? Yes. It has built-in wifi as standard and works with the MELCloud app, also when you are away from home, and it is compatible with Alexa. We set it up when we commission the unit.
Does it also work as heating? Yes, it is a heat pump: it delivers 4.0 kW of heat, with a SCOP of 5.1 (A+++), and works with outdoor temperatures down to -15 °C.
Who does the installation? Our own technicians, installers in Barcelona since 1953. We vacuum the circuit, carry out the leak test and commission the unit, and we remove the old unit if there is one.
