How much does a boiler repair cost?

It is difficult to give an exact price without seeing the appliance, but these are the typical ranges for the most common repairs:

At JAG Alcaide we offer a boiler and heater repair service, as well as technical assistance for any type of breakdown in your gas or electricity installation. To guarantee a more efficient service in the repair of your boiler, it would be advisable that before calling our technical assistance service you carry out the following checks:

  • Verify that the boiler is connected to the electric circuit.

  • Make sure the boiler’s manometer marks a pressure of between 1 and 1,5 bars.

  • Check if the gas valve is opened.

  • Make sure the ambient thermostat is connected and works fine.

  • Make sure all the radiator valves are opened.

  • Verify that the water valve is also opened.

    Frequently asked questions about boiler repair

    Do you repair all boiler brands? Yes. We work with all major brands. We are an official Junkers Bosch service centre, but we also repair Vaillant, Baxi, Ariston, Ferroli, Fagor and others without any problem.

    Do you offer an emergency service? Out-of-hours emergency service is available during the winter period (October to April) for clients with a maintenance contract. For other clients, we attend as quickly as possible during working hours (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm).

    Do you provide a quote before carrying out repairs? Always. The technician diagnoses the fault and confirms the estimated cost before starting any work. If you decide not to proceed, only the diagnostic visit is charged.

    What happens if the repair requires a part that is not in stock? We will inform you of the delivery time and, where possible, keep the boiler running with a temporary fix while the part arrives.

    Is it worth repairing or better to replace the boiler? It depends on the age of the boiler and the type of fault. As a general rule, if the boiler is less than 12–15 years old and the repair does not exceed 40% of the cost of a new one, it is worth repairing. We will advise you during the visit with no obligation.
