How to get your air conditioning right
Capacity for the room
Up to 15 m² (bedroom or study), 2.5 kW. From 15 to 25 m² (living-dining room), 3.5 kW. Above that, 4.2 to 7 kW depending on the floor area. In top-floor flats or very sunny rooms, go one size up.
Split, 2x1 or ducted
One split per room is the quickest and cheapest option. If there is no space for several outdoor units, a 2x1 serves two rooms with one. With a false ceiling or during a renovation, ducts reach the whole home with no units in sight.
Noise and running costs
For bedrooms, check the minimum noise of the indoor unit: quiet ranges go down to 19-21 dB. The energy class (A++ or A+++) and the SEER and SCOP show the consumption: the higher, the less it uses.
Brand and service
We only install brands with an official service network in Spain, because a unit without spare parts ends up costing more. The price includes standard installation with up to 3 m of pipework.

What you should know before asking for a quote
The residents’ association. In Barcelona most associations allow the outdoor unit as long as the building’s aesthetic rules are respected; in listed buildings or the old town it may have to be out of sight from the street. We check the by-laws and, if necessary, speak to the property manager before installing. When the facade is not an option, the usual solutions are the light well (accessed by rope-access work), a multi-split with a single outdoor unit, or a ducted system with the machine in the false ceiling.
Pre-installation. If the flat already has trunking, wall sleeves, a drain and a power point in place, the installation is faster and cheaper. If not, we do it at the same time. If you are in the middle of a renovation, get the pre-installation done now: it costs a fraction of what it will cost later once the walls are closed.

How much does it cost to install air conditioning in Barcelona?
A 1×1 split including unit and installation costs from €1,160. A 2×1 multi-split, from €2,330. Ducted systems, from €2,490. All quotes include unit, labour and VAT with no additional costs unless unforeseen installation difficulties arise that could not be seen when quoting.
How quickly can you install the system?
For standard splits and multi-splits, we install within less than a week of you accepting the quote. A 1×1 split installation is typically completed in a single morning.
Do you cover the wider Barcelona metropolitan area?
Yes. We carry out installations in Barcelona city and across the main metropolitan municipalities including L’Hospitalet, Badalona, Sant Cugat, Cornellà, El Prat, Viladecans, Castelldefels, Gavà and Esplugues.
What is the difference between a split unit and a ducted system?
A split unit has a visible indoor unit mounted on the wall of the room. A ducted system houses the machine above a false ceiling and delivers conditioned air through flush grilles, covering the entire property from a single unit. Ducted systems require an existing false ceiling or one built during renovation, and involve a higher initial cost, but deliver significantly better aesthetics and whole-home comfort.

Yes. We offer payment plans for larger installations. Ask about available options when requesting your quote.
Which brands do you install?
Mitsubishi Electric, Bosch and Daikin, all three with official technical service in Spain. We do not install brands without local technical support because we could not stand behind the maintenance afterwards.
Can I install air conditioning in a flat within a residents’ association?
In most cases, yes. The outdoor unit can go on the facade, in the courtyard or on a terrace as long as it does not substantially affect communal elements or the look of the building. If your association has specific rules, we assess them from the photos and propose the location before you commit.
Does the quote include the unit or only the labour?
It includes the unit, installation and start-up. You choose the model according to your budget and needs; we help you via WhatsApp or by phone. We always work with equipment supplied by us: that way a single warranty covers both the appliance and the installation, and we handle any claim with the manufacturer ourselves.
Do you offer maintenance after the installation?
Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts covering filter and coil cleaning, refrigerant checks and an electrical inspection. Maintenance extends the life of the unit and some manufacturers require it to keep the warranty valid.
