The Sensira range is Daikin’s entry-level reference: long-established Inverter technology, low indoor unit noise levels (from 19 dB on the quietest models) and efficient consumption for everyday use. Available in outputs from 2.0 to 5.0 kW to suit rooms of different sizes.

TXF models include remote control and programmable weekly timer. TXC models offer higher output for larger living rooms or open-plan spaces. This is the right choice when the priority is proven reliability at a competitive price, without advanced connectivity features.

Daikin Perfera — Built-in Wi-Fi and maximum efficiency

The Perfera range is Daikin’s mid-to-high domestic range. It includes Wi-Fi as standard, compatible with the Daikin Online Controller app, which lets you switch the unit on, off and adjust settings from your smartphone wherever you are. Rated A+++ in cooling, it is the most energy-efficient Daikin wall-mounted split range.

Heating operation down to -15°C outdoor temperature makes it a solid choice for winter use in Barcelona, where temperatures rarely drop below 0°C. Available in outputs from 2.0 to 5.0 kW.

Daikin Multi-split — A single outdoor unit for the whole home

Multi-split systems connect two or more indoor units to a single outdoor unit. The main advantage is aesthetic and structural: less facade impact, particularly relevant in Eixample buildings or in the old town where residents’ associations often restrict the number of visible outdoor units.

Each indoor unit operates independently — one room can run in cooling while another runs in heating simultaneously. JAG sizes the multi-split system to the actual needs of each room to avoid the efficiency losses that occur when the outdoor unit is over or undersized.

What does JAG Alcaide’s installation include?

Installation includes fitting the indoor and outdoor units, running the refrigerant pipe and electrical cable, charging the R-32 refrigerant, commissioning the system and setting up the remote control. If the unit includes Wi-Fi, we also configure the connection to the Daikin Online Controller app before handing over the installation.

If the building already has a pre-installation (a conduit already in place through the wall), the work is faster and the installation cost lower. If there is no pre-installation, we assess the cleanest and most discreet pipe route from your photos (or on a visit, if needed) — either along the exterior wall or inside a trunking, depending on what is most suitable for the property.

As official Daikin distributors and installers, we register the installation so the manufacturer’s warranty is activated and give you all the paperwork. We keep a record of every installation to handle any future warranty claims without the customer needing to track down paperwork.

If your home needs anything extra, we tell you before we start, based on a few photos sent by WhatsApp; we only visit if needed, at no cost.

This means direct access to the full brand catalogue, original parts for repairs, and that the installation we carry out activates the official manufacturer’s warranty. What is the difference between the Sensira and Perfera ranges?

If proven reliability at a more competitive price is what matters, the Sensira covers standard domestic use very well.

Do I need a pre-installation to fit air conditioning?

No, but it simplifies the work and reduces installation costs. A pre-installation is a conduit already in place through the wall that allows the refrigerant pipe to pass without any building work. If none exists, we run the pipe along the exterior wall or inside a trunking, whichever is most suitable for the property. We assess this without obligation from the photos you send or, if needed, on a visit.

Is a multi-split better than two separate splits?

It depends on the situation. A multi-split has a single outdoor unit, which is a significant advantage on facades with community restrictions or limited available space. The downside is that output is shared between the active indoor units. Two separate splits allow completely independent operation of each room and are generally more efficient when both zones run at full power simultaneously. From the photos we advise on the best option for your specific situation.

Do you carry out annual servicing and repairs on Daikin units?

Yes. We carry out the annual servicing recommended by Daikin to maintain optimum unit performance and warranty validity. We also repair breakdowns on any Daikin unit. Can you install on buildings with facade restrictions from the residents’ association?

Yes. This is very common in Barcelona, particularly in the Eixample, the Gothic Quarter and Gràcia. We work with alternative locations for the outdoor unit — interior courtyards, terraces, rooftops — and with pipe runs that minimise visual impact on the facade. In buildings with strict community rules, we review all available options before committing to any work and, where needed, advise on how to present the request to the residents’ association.
