Use	Approximate flow rate
A single outlet (kitchen sink)	5 l/min
One bathroom	11 l/min
One bathroom and the kitchen at the same time	14 l/min
Two bathrooms	15-17 l/min

A guide only. We confirm it based on your bathrooms and usage, from the details you send us via WhatsApp.

Open-flue or room-sealed?

A room-sealed water heater draws air from outside through a pipe and expels the fumes the same way, without using the air in your home. An open-flue one takes air from the room and needs ventilation and a chimney. If your current water heater is open-flue, a photo of the water heater and the flue lets us check whether another one of the same type can be fitted or whether it is better to switch to room-sealed.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to replace a gas water heater?

From €650 for a 5 l/min Junkers Bosch Therm 4204 and from €740 for an 11 l/min one, including removal of the old one, installation and VAT. A room-sealed Therm 6600 S, from €940.

What water heater do I need for one bathroom?

For one bathroom, 11 l/min. If the kitchen is used at the same time, 14 l/min, and for two bathrooms, 15-17 l/min.

Gas water heater or electric water heater?

A gas water heater gives unlimited hot water, but it needs gas and a flue. An electric water heater can be fitted almost anywhere, but it works with a tank that can run out.
