Who is the Tronic 2000 T for?
It is the classic cylindrical electric water heater, installed vertically, and the most affordable of the ones we install for a home. It suits you if you are replacing a round water heater with another and the space allows it: it is 440 mm in diameter and comes in 30 to 115 litres.

If the space is narrow, go for the 2000 T slim. If depth is short or you want it lying down, the 4501 T, which is also class B (1,304 kWh a year for 80 L, compared with 1,411 kWh for the 75 L 2000 T, according to the label). If it can only go horizontally, the Tronic 2000 T horizontal from 420€; and if you want to control it from your phone, the Tronic 5501i T with Wi-Fi.

How to read its technical data
- Energy class C
- Label consumption: 561 kWh a year (30 L, load profile S), 1,405 kWh (50 L, profile M), 1,411 kWh (75 L, profile M), 2,736 kWh (100 L, profile L) and 2,753 kWh (115 L, profile L).
- Load profile (S, M, L)
- The usage pattern each water heater is tested with: the larger it is, the more hot water is drawn in the test. That is why label consumption almost doubles from 75 to 100 litres.
- Power
- 1.2 kW for the 30-litre model, 1.5 kW for the 50-litre one and 2 kW for the 75, 100 and 115-litre ones.
- Heating time
- To raise the water temperature by 50 °C, according to Bosch: 1 h 27 min (30 L), 2 h 20 min (75 L), 2 h 55 min (100 L) and 3 h 30 min (115 L).
- Dimensions
- 440 mm diameter on all models. Height: 457 mm (30 L), 622 mm (50 L), 869 mm (75 L), 1,031 mm (100 L) and 1,194 mm (115 L).
- Temperature and pressure
- Adjustable up to 65 °C, with a maximum pressure of 8 bar.
What can change the price
The price includes removal of the old water heater, fitting and commissioning using the existing installation. The following are quoted separately, in writing and before we start:
- A new socket or a line from the consumer unit, if the current one is not suitable for the water heater’s power.
- A pressure reducer, if the supply exceeds 8 bar.
- Running the safety valve outlet to a drain, if there is none nearby.
- Moving the water heater to a new spot with new piping.
- Special brackets or fixings if the wall is plasterboard or cannot take the weight: the 115-litre model weighs 148 kg when full, according to Bosch.

Frequently asked questions about the TR2000T 30B
What size of water heater do I need? As a guide: 30-50 litres for one person, 75 litres for two or three, 100 litres for three or four and 115 litres for four or five or if there is a bathtub. We confirm it based on the bathrooms and how you use hot water, from the details you send us via WhatsApp.
Why 75 and 115 litres rather than 80 and 120? Because that is the capacity Bosch declares on the energy label of the TR2000T 80B and 120B models. We prefer to list the real litres.
How much does it cost to replace an 80-litre water heater? The equivalent in this range is the 75-litre model, for 430€ installed including VAT, removal of the old one, fitting and commissioning. If you need exactly 80 litres, the 80-litre Tronic 2000 T slim costs 450€.
Can it be installed horizontally? No, the 2000 T is vertical only. For a horizontal fitting there is the Tronic 2000 T horizontal, from 420€, and the flat, reversible Tronic 4501 T, from 480€.
How long does it take to heat up? According to Bosch, the 75-litre model takes 2 h 20 min to raise the water temperature by 50 °C, and the 100-litre one 2 h 55 min.
